Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Multiply and ask about your work without leaving the assistant you already use. It can read your projects, tasks, intelligence and files, and answers from what's in Multiply. The connection uses MCP, an open standard for linking AI assistants to other tools.
Note: Connecting AI assistants is available to selected organizations. If you don't see it, ask your Multiply contact.
Where to find it
Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar to open Account settings, then scroll to AI assistants. You'll find:
Server URL: the address your assistant connects to, with a button to copy it.
Setup steps for Claude, Claude Code and ChatGPT.
The connection belongs to your account, so one connection covers every organization you're a member of.
Connecting Claude
In AI assistants, copy the Server URL.
In Claude on the web or desktop, add a custom connector and paste the server URL. Anthropic's guide Add a custom connector shows where to find it.
Sign in with your Multiply account when asked.
On Authorize access to your Multiply account, check that it shows your email and click Approve.
Connecting ChatGPT
Copy the Server URL from AI assistants.
In ChatGPT, turn on developer mode, then create an app with the server URL. OpenAI's guide Developer mode and MCP apps walks you through it.
Sign in with your Multiply account and click Approve.
Connecting Claude Code
Click the copy button next to Claude Code and run the command in your terminal. It looks like "claude mcp add --transport http multiply https://beta.multiply.co/mcp". The first time Claude Code connects, it asks you to sign in with your Multiply account and approve.
What you can ask
Ask in plain words, the way you would in Multiply. For example:
"What did we agree with the client for the spring launch?"
"Summarize the brief and intelligence for my Nordvik project."
"Find the meeting transcript where we discussed pricing."
"Which of my tasks are waiting for my answer?"
The assistant can read:
your organizations, workspaces, projects and their members
a project's intelligence: its brief, intelligence areas and drafts
your tasks, including the conversation, plan and blocks
files, documents, reports and meeting transcripts, which it can search by meaning
Good to know
The assistant works as you. It sees only what you can open in Multiply, in each of your organizations.
Joinable projects you haven't joined stay closed. Join the project in Multiply first.
Your private tasks are visible to your own connection only, never to a teammate's.
The connection reads from Multiply. It can't create tasks or change anything in Multiply.
Archived tasks are left out.
Approve the sign-in only if you started it yourself from an assistant you trust.
FAQ
Do I need to connect once per organization?
No. One connection covers every organization you belong to.
Can my teammates see what I ask my assistant?
No. Your questions stay in your own assistant. Multiply doesn't add them to your projects or tasks.
How do I disconnect?
Remove the Multiply connector or app in your assistant's settings.
Can I start a Multiply task from Claude or ChatGPT?
Not yet. For now the connection reads your work. Start tasks in Multiply.
