Chatting with Multiply

Your assistant for getting work done in Multiply. Tell it what you need, and it handles the rest.

What Multiply does

Multiply is the assistant you talk to in every task. Describe what you want and Multiply takes it from there, delegating the work to the right specialist agents and bringing the results back to you.

Core functions

  • Delegating to agents — Multiply decides which specialist agents to involve and hands off the work to them

  • Reading files — analyzes files you've uploaded to inform its output or answer questions directly

  • Quick web search — do a broad web search to pull in information from the web

  • Running code — executes code to perform calculations, and to inform outputs

  • Updating blocks — creates new blocks, edits existing ones, or use them as input as the work develops

Context Multiply uses

Multiply works with the context available to it at the time of the task:

  • Workspace context — shared files and notes from the Workspace your Project belongs to

  • Project context — the brief, uploaded files, and Intelligence generated at the project level

  • Task context — the conversation and blocks within the current task

  • Files — anything you've uploaded to the task itself

If your task is private and not connected to a Project or Workspace, Multiply starts fresh with only what you give it in the task itself. The more relevant context Multiply has, the sharper the output. If something important is missing, just upload it or add it to your Task. Otherwise, Multiply will ask for more information.
