Turning a brief proposal into a project

Explore a brief proposal, add your instructions, choose the deliverables and start it as a project.

Written by Oskar Malm Wiklund

Every workspace gets brief proposals: short pitches for work you could take to the client, based on Multiply's research into the client's world. This article shows how to shape one and start it as a project.

Where to find them

Open a workspace. Brief proposals is the first card on the Overview tab.

  1. Run now in the Intelligence panel refreshes the client research straight away.

  2. New findings pulse. Open one to read why it matters and follow the link to the original article.

  3. Explore opens a proposal so you can shape it into a project.

  4. New signals collects the latest findings you haven't opened yet.

Use the tabs on the card to switch between Proposals, Saved and Archive. The bookmark icon saves a proposal for later, and the X archives it.

Shape the proposal

  1. Project instructions: add anything the project should follow, such as client rules, budget, audience, timing or channels. The Quick add chips drop in a starter line you can edit.

  2. The brief: click any section to edit its text, then Save.

  3. Deliverables: say yes (tick) or no (cross) to each one. Declined deliverables stay on the proposal but aren't created in the project. Click Add deliverable to add your own.

  4. Click Start project.

What Start project does

  • Creates a shared project linked to the workspace, named after the proposal.

  • Carries your project instructions over.

  • Fills in the project's brief from the proposal, with a card for each deliverable you accepted.

  • Adds one suggested task per accepted deliverable to the project's Drafts.

The proposal then disappears from the card, and you land in the new project.

When new proposals arrive

  • Every Monday, as part of the weekly research run.

  • When a workspace is created.

  • When new files finish uploading to the workspace.

  • Whenever you click Run now on the Brief proposals card.

A run can produce up to three proposals, and sometimes none. That's normal when nothing new stands out.

Good to know

  • Your edits to a proposal are kept in your browser until you start or archive it. They aren't shared with teammates.

  • Nothing is sent to your client, and nothing is created until you click Start project.
