In this walkthrough we will go over how to import xlsx-files directly into templates.
Which is great if, say you want to generate product description and copywriting for an entire product catalogue that contains a lot of products.
Set Up Your Template
First, we create a template that includes several empty textblocks. Name these textblocks after the column names in your xlsx file. It’s important that the names match because later we will connect these textblocks with your file.
Arrange AI Textblocks
Next, set up the textblocks where you would like the AI to generate content, such as product descriptions or copywriting details. Such as in the image below.
Now, let's try to fill out these textblocks with the content we have in our xlsx-file.
Import the Xlsx File
Here’s how to import your xlsx file:
Go to the navigation menu on the left and click on the three stacked dots.
Click 'Show as table'.
Then, choose 'Import from .xlsx file' and select the file you want to work with.
Choose a Template
Select the template you prepared in the first steps. This is the template into which you want to import the data from your xlsx file.
Connect Columns to Textblocks
Now, link each column of the xlsx file to the corresponding textblock you set up in your template. To name your template instance, use the option 'Use column for document name'.
Generate Content
Once you’ve connected all the columns to the right textblocks, mark all the instances of templates at the top left of the table view. Then, click generate and Multiply will generate text for each instance all at once!
And there you go! You've successfully imported an xlsx-file and generated text for various template instances all in one go.
Generate in your brand voice
As you can see in the video you can also set up a brand voice, that you can connect during the import and have all your product text be generated in the company brand voice or tonality. A neat trick for generating a lot of text in your own words!
