Files give Multiply the context it can't find on the web: briefs, research, guidelines and notes. Where you upload a file decides who can use it.
Three places to upload
Task attachments - attached in the prompt box. Only that task uses them.
Project files - available to every task in the project. Adding them refreshes the project's intelligence.
Workspace files - uploaded on the workspace's Files tab. Available to every task in projects linked to that workspace.
Context flows down: workspace files reach every linked project, and project files reach every task in the project.
Upload in a project
Drop files on the left side to attach them to your next prompt. The overlay says Attach file(s) to prompt.
Drop files on the right side to add them to the project. The overlay says Upload file(s) to project context.
Or click the file icon in the prompt box to attach files from your computer.
You can also click the file count next to Uploaded files in the Overview card and upload there.
Supported file types
PDF, Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), Excel (.xlsx), CSV, plain text (.txt), Markdown (.md), HTML, PNG and JPEG.
Older formats such as .doc, .ppt and .xls, OpenDocument files and RTF can be uploaded but can't be read yet. Save them as .docx, .pptx, .xlsx or PDF first. Other types show an Unsupported file type message.
Limits
Up to 20 files per task, per project and per workspace, counting files already there. When you reach it you'll see Upload limit reached. Remove files you no longer need to make room.
Up to 50 MB per file, or 250 MB for PDF and PowerPoint files.
Files attached in the prompt box but never sent are removed after 7 days.
Delete a file
Project or workspace files: open the file list and click the trash icon next to the file. It's removed straight away.
Files in a task: open the sidebar, hover a file under Uploaded files and click the trash icon, then Delete.
An attachment you haven't sent yet: click the × on it in the prompt box.
Tips
Paper documents: scan or photograph them to PDF first.
Image-heavy decks: export as a compressed PDF to stay under the size limit.
Put files the whole client relationship needs, such as brand guidelines, in the workspace once, instead of in every project.
