Recording meetings

Send the Multiply recorder to a Google Meet, Zoom or Teams call and get the transcript saved to your workspace.

Written by Oskar Malm Wiklund

Send the Multiply.co recorder to a Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams call. It joins as a guest, captures the transcript, and saves it to the workspace. Your tasks and agents can then draw on everything that was said.

Note: Meeting recordings are in beta and available to selected organisations. Ask your Multiply contact if you don't see the Meetings tab.

Where to find it

Open a workspace and select the Meetings tab. You'll see every recording for that workspace, newest first.

Record a meeting

  1. On the Meetings tab, click Record meeting.

  2. Paste the meeting link. Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams links all work.

  3. Optionally, give the meeting a title. Multiply uses it when naming the transcript.

  4. Click Add recorder. The recorder heads to the call straight away.

  5. When it arrives, let it in from the waiting room. It shows up as Multiply Notetaker.

Tip: Add the recorder no more than 10 minutes before the call starts. It only waits in the waiting room for about 10 minutes.

Follow the recording

Each recording moves through these statuses:

  • Waiting to join - the recorder is on its way or in the waiting room.

  • Recording - the recorder is in the call.

  • Processing transcript - the call has ended and Multiply is preparing the transcript.

  • Transcript saved - done. Click View in Files to open it.

  • Failed - the reason is shown underneath, for example "Never let in from the waiting room."

To stop a recording that hasn't finished, click Cancel on its row. The recorder leaves the call.

What happens to the transcript

The transcript is saved to the workspace Files with a title and summary written by Multiply. Like any other workspace file, it's available as context to tasks in the projects linked to that workspace, so you can ask things like "What did the client say about the launch date?"

Good to know

  • Transcripts belong to the workspace, so everyone with access to the workspace can use them. Only record meetings where everyone has agreed to be recorded.

  • If the host doesn't admit the recorder, or everyone leaves before it starts, the recording fails and nothing is saved.
