What are Blocks?

Blocks are an iterative prompting interface that allows you to collaborate with AI sidekicks to generate anything you want. This feature provides a flexible and powerful way to create content, conduct research, and refine ideas.

Blocks can be used for one-off tasks as well as things you always want to do, a best of both world situation. You can use them like you would a chat except that they are geared towards (re)production and far more capable than chat!

Prompt History

1. Prompt History Editing

  • Access and edit your prompt history by clicking the ‘clock arrow’ button in the top right corner, then selecting "History". This allows you to review and modify previous steps in your creative process

  • Replay by pressing the ‘circling arrows’ button

  • Press the three stacked dots to delete or duplicate a block

  • The up or down arrow collapses or expands your block

2. Detailed Step Overview

For each prompt step, you can view:

  • The output generated

  • The Sidekick's reasoning and actions

  • Sources used or collected (accessible via the sources box)

3. Replay and Adjust

You can replay prompt steps from the beginning, allowing you to change or adjust the context. This is particularly useful when you want to adapt your research or content for specific needs and/or different brands or markets.

4. Manual Editing

If you need to make corrections or changes, you can manually edit the output at any time. This gives you full control over the final content. Press the little pencil button in the top right corner!

5. Contextual Chaining

Each block can serve as context for another. For example, you can use one block to generate research, and then use that research as input for a report in the next block.

6. Sidekicks

Choose the right sidekick for the job by pressing the little drop-down button in the bottom right corner.

Tips for Effective Block Usage

  • Start with a prompt to instruct the AI sidekick

  • Use the history feature to refine your prompts and improve outputs

  • Experiment with different block sequences to find the most effective workflow

  • Edit or combine AI-generated content with your own ideas by manually typing as well

By mastering the use of Blocks, you can significantly enhance your workflow and processes, making it more efficient and creative.
